We are now recruiting lecturer in logistics and supply chain management to be based in the division of industrial engineering at the department of engineering. The department is responsible for two degree programs: the international master's program operations and supply chain management and the undergraduate program industrial engineering. An additional international degree program is being planned. The education is in an expansive phase with many applicants and high demand from both students and the labour market. The research area of industrial engineering is developing at the university. Particular focus is on the areas of logistics and supply chain management, as well as operations management. This research is characterized by interdisciplinary approaches and active collaboration with other subject areas, both within the university and with external actors and other national and international higher education institutions.
The current position is expected to contribute to the further development of both research and education and internal and external collaboration. We are looking for someone who has a research profile with a focus on logistics and supply chain management and who is eager to shape developments in the area in collaboration with companies and external organizations.
The position integrates education, research, postgraduate training and collaboration with business and society. The assistant senior lecturer will play a key role in the development of the field with a particular focus on logistics and supply chain management and its connection to sustainability in economic, ecological and social dimensions. The position involves teaching and research, as well as building collaboration with external actors.
The lecturer in logistics and supply chain management will have a central role in the development of research and education at University West. Main duties include:
-Demonstrated teaching proficiency (Chap. 4, Art. 4, HF). Applicants who lack teaching qualifications from an academic environment should have competence that equates to the university’s eligibility requirements, although this could have been gained by means other than in an academic environment.
- Completion of higher education teacher training of at least ten weeks, or equivalent competence. If the applicant has not completed higher education teacher training, the appointment may be made, provided the individual completes such training during the first two years of the appointment.
- Must hold a doctoral degree in supply chain management or another relevant subject area as deemed appropriate by the employer in relation to the focus of the position, or have the equivalent academic expertise or some other form of professional skill that is relevant to the subject content of the post and the duties related to the position (Chap. 4, Art. 4, HF).
