The position mainly consists of teaching and research in electrical engineering. Teaching and supervision can take place at both undergraduate, advanced and postgraduate levels. Another purpose of the position is to assist in the development of the department's work in electrical engineering, which includes developing courses in electrical engineering and contributing with interdisciplinary perspectives. University West's profile is work-integrated learning (AIL) and in line with this, several of the programs at the Department of Engineering Science include co-op, which means that students alternate theoretical studies with paid work periods at companies. The position may therefore include tasks related to co-op, which includes being the link between the university and the business community, and visiting students during their work at the companies. Collaboration with the surrounding community is central to University West and an important task is therefore to create and maintain a network of contacts with the industry. Both teaching for professionals and seeking external funding are also planned to be included in the position. In addition, this includes participation in the university's other activities, the department's development work, and administrative tasks.
