Work Integrated Learning (WIL) is University West’s overarching profile and basic principle applied to learning, the exchange of ideas, and educational development. The government has assigned the distinguished task of developing WIL to University West. Work integrated learning in education and research develops new, relevant and advanced knowledge both within the academy and among its partners, which also benefits society in general. University West offers a wide variety of study programs, has a good number of applicants and the students show a high entry rate on the labor market. The main research environments at University West are Production technology, Learning in and for the new working life and Child and youth studies and is conducted in collaboration with the surrounding society. Campus is centrally located in Trollhättan with about 13,000 students and 700 employees.

University of West is looking for two student employees for the course Programming for Automation

We are looking for someone interested in programming in Python who wants to work as a student employee for the course Programming for Automation PFA600.

Responsibilities:

Your main task will be to guide students during exercises and laboratory work. As a student employee, you will support both students and the teacher. By answering students' questions and guiding them when they encounter problems during exercises or laboratory work, you are an important piece in their learning.

Qualifications:

To qualify for an employment as a student employee, according to the student employee agreement, you must:

  • pursue full-time studies at university level,
  • have completed approved studies corresponding to at least 60 higher education credits,
  • have not started a research education.

For this position, it is also required that you:

  • are a master's student in the program AI and Automation at the University of West or equivalent,
  • have a passing grade in the course Programming for Automation, PFA600.

Meriting qualifications for the position include:

  • teaching skills and an interest in teaching others,
  • experience in a leadership role in some context, such as a children's and youth leader within associations,
  • high availability during times when work shifts do not conflict with your own studies.

Employment type:

The student employee agreement is a special form of employment that aims to allow you, as a student, to work on tasks that have a clear connection to your studies for a limited number of hours (maximum 25% of full-time). The goal is to give you, as a student, an increased quality in your studies and a greater knowledge of the conditions and tasks of the state administration.

A student employee employment is a temporary assignment that can run for a maximum of four semesters.

The employment is limited in time and follows the university's term times. The employment is planned to start on August 28, 2023.

Duration: 6 weeks
Scope: estimated up to 10 hours per week.
